Need suggestion for my first 2.0 system

Dear All,

I am planning to go for my first 2.0 system for listening music (no particular genre) and also I would like to hear audio when I watch movies on my Panasonic 42X30D. I have been going through the forum for this reason, though not in a constructive manner. I have kind of zeroed on Norge products, for their cost (my first 2.0). I would like to go for an amplifier and two book shelves from norge. Please advise me an amplifier and pairing book shelves for the mentioned application. Please also advise me whether I can pair a media player like the one from Dune or WD as a source both for playing music and movies to my 2.0 system. Thanks in advance for all the suggestions.

First of all, congratulations on the decision to purchase a 2.0 setup.

Norge products are good value for money, and many folks on the forum use either the Norge 2060 amplifier or the Norge 1000. They have often been paried with the wharfedale 9.1/9.2, the wharfedale 10.1/10.2 as well as Norge's own Millinium speakers. Any one of these speakers along with one of the Norge amplifiers will give you good quality sound. Do try and have an audition before you buy. Since you are in Hyd, you can request any Hyd FMs who use similiar products to offer you a demo so that you can take a decision after hearing.

Have gone through the forum. Somebody quoted a place where Norge amp could be found. I have to visit and find out.
