Need suggestion

Hi Guyz,

This is Karthik from Chennai. I m thinking to buy speakers for my PC. (2.1 or 5.1 )
Suggest me within 5K range. I have few in mind
1. Creative Inspire 4500 and 6160
2. Altec lansing

but i have always prefered this
a simple setup

Edifiers are actually a very new brand , people are more familiar to the sound of altec/creative .

Just my two cents - If going for a Ht setup , go for the most powerful 5.1 you can fit into that budget . Usually a weak subwoofer will destroy the benefit for 5.1 .

Look into philips home theaters too, yes they have powered HT's starting from 1800/- can be connected to Pc just like, best part is you can ask for the demo at stores like Croma .

as for 2.1 goes, i have yet to find a decent sounding 2.1 under 5k . the closest was Altec lancing.

altec lansing quality is crap these days. gone are those atp3/mx5051 days.

Creative doesnt produced acceptable sound(at least for me) under 5k price.

Only that comes to my mind is Edifier c2. Buy it u wont regret. its around 4k.

if 5.1 is you need(which meant solely for movies), dont look speakers under 10k. I recommend Logitech z906.

Edifiers and even some of F and D's are good, try iBall's too..
