Hi all,

I recently purchased denon 2113ci from amazon.de and got it in 4 days to my place. I was able to hook it up to my Epson home cinema 8700ub projector to test out the video part of the receiver and it was working.

On Saturday I had auditioned klipsch f30, monitor audio rs 5 and rs8 and Dali ikon and zensor.

Last time(was almost 6 months ago or so) when I auditioned klipsch I had more or less decided on them but this time when I checked them out u found them to be just tooo loud for my ears for both music and movies. I found Dali both ikon and zensor to be clear in terms of vocals and stuff but found them lacking on bass alot. With regards to rs 5 and 8: found 5 to be clear and precise in terms of music and also had good enough bass punch on them. I intact found 5 to be better than 8 though it is just 100w as compared to 175 for rs8.

The Dali dealer is coming up with heco brand of speakers and has asked me to check them out today which I will. I wanted to know your opinions on monitor audio rs5/8 and heco. Hardly been able to find much reviews on rs5 and heco online.

My room size is: 15ftx20ft approx. would like to build up to 7.1 later. It currently just have the budget for a good pair of floor standing speakers. Main purpose is movies...gaming on ps3/360 and little of music.

Rs5 have been quoted for 42k while 8 for 72. Also these are on clearance since they r old models

Thanks guys.

Also my budget is 50ishk as I still need to get ups+ stabilizer. Any idea how much would these cost and which ones serve their purpose?

stick to budgets. This will mean the MA's. Not sure about Heco's. there is nothing right or wrong. Just go by your ear, room and budget. recently many forum members have got Heco's. Maybe you could PM a few.

I am not sure about heco 601 however 700 has impressed me.

my cousin has heco 700 paired with yamaha 671. I liked watching transformers, however could not listen to music.
one of our forum members has paired 700 with denon 1612 and outcome seems to be excellent.
considering that 2113 is one level above 1612, should pair well with 700 ...

If I was you, I would trust my ears and audition heco with 2113. There is a dealer in Bangalore for heco but I am not aware of any dealer in hyd. With the budget of 50k and heco 700 I am sure you will be left with sufficient reserve to booze for next 3 months :)

Lol...I think the last them when I checked them out I thought I loves hearing music loudly and with that loud bass...luckily my taste has changed I guess and I did not plunge that time(guess I found my volume pot this time)

On a general note...have any of u auditioned rs series and their general opinion on monitor audio as a company?

He got 5 speakers. pair of 700, pair of 200 and center 101 (or is it pair of 201 and center 100?). He paired with Warf SW150 sub which he already had. He bought the heco set for about 32k-33k. He was referring to 700 as VFM costing less than 21k for pair. I agree with him becas living room of 20x14 was live and full during the Transformers movie. Atleast I have not come across anything good at the price band. You can check amazon.de for the current pricing for heco.
BTW, magnat and heco seem to use same drivers. You can also audition magnat if possible.

A beautiful, well-constructed speaker with class-leading soundstage, imaging and bass that is fast, deep, and precise.
