Last night the left channel of my faithful S4 died. A known problems with these iems. Being a DIYer didn't want to trash it so opened it up. Unfortunately the copper tracks supplying the driver are bad at a place where soldering can't help. Need to replace the tiny button cell sized driver.

I would request anyone on the forum with a similar fault or a dead S4 to help me out with this.

Thanks.

Purchased a hifiman RE-400 to replace it.

It sounds much much better. Exceptional midrange with great low end extension.

Yes it is me. Purchased last week. Thought you were from Hong Kong however you turned out to be from Gwalior.

I have owned the hifiman HM 601, RE ZERO and like the sound quality of their products.

Sad to hear someone burned his s4. The cable quality is pathetic as none of my iems have died as I take great care. If someone has a faulty one kindly send it to me so l can perform a TRANSPLANT.
