Please give me some suggestions keeping in mind good picture quality, good color production and better sound. I have zeroed on Panasonic 49E400D and 49ES480D. If any better product then please inform. Smart TV is not priority. Any better products from Samsung, Sony or LG?
I recently bought Pana 49E400D in Diwali. Excellent for HD and FHD. Value for money 41000/ store purchase +10% ICICI cashback alongwith 6 EMI no interest/processing charge.
Being 49 inch requires 12 feet plus for Standard Definition (SD)viewing and is just Ok. But depends on channel. I found SUN TV SD was as good as JAYA TV HD with TATA SKY. HD channel can be viewed from 6-8 feet with excellent results.
Colours are comparatively natural and not artificially pop out as in Samsung,Sony etc. Brightness is sufficient with even tubelight on in the room.
Blacks are decently deep.
Sound is loud enough with STB at 1/3rd volume for 10 by 15 feet room. But donot expect any bass. Treble is controlled.Voice is natural to the extent two small speakers can give but it is not tinny/screechy as some TV sound is. Surround sound mode does help in some perceived expansion of sound.
Comparative Samsung LG products(basic models with no smart wifi etc.)were 10000to 12000 costlier. .But were not any better whether with VA panel or IPS panel.There was no basic comparable Sony model.
Installation calll came within 2 hours of purchase. as it was late in evening the person came and installed next day morning. Call back from company verifying installation within two days.
It is direct LEd so no corner flashlight bleeding problem. So far so good. I expected better upscaling of SD content but if channel content is good then SD is OK.
