New audiophile

Hello everybody,

I want to buy new speakers and an receiver around 1500 euro. I know of course that i should listen what i like most, but do you guys have any suggestions? I heard a pair of B&W 685's and i liked them alot.

what are your listening habits. more music or movies. if its music then you dont need a receiver, just a stereo set up will be great. what sort of music will you be listening to.

welcome to the forum.. and what type for audio you into will decide the type of hardware you should be looking for....

and look forward for a stereo integrated amp and a pair of speakers if you want it stirctly for music..

I assume you wish to purchase from Europe ,as you are in Netherlands , and a budget in euro . My suggestion is look for good condition used gears ( 2 -4 years old ) , and you should get more value for your budget. Your local dealers or some websites within Europe may offer such deals .

Try out Jamo's C607s ! You are in Jamo's home base so you may get a whole lot of range to choose from. Prices are seldom competitive in EU but don't think you have an alternative.
