Hi,

The TT in the picture is a belt drive,shown with the VPI ring clamp.

VPI makes a retrofittable rim/idler drive also.Interesting design improving(?) on the basic ideas borrowed from the TD124 design i.e. using a belt to decouple the motor vibrations from the idler/flywheel.

The old one costed $2750 without cartridge and the rim. This will definitely be more.

Ouch! Thats pricey for something whose basic design can be had for half the price. I wonder if its worth so much more money over the normal classic.
