Nice profile of Mr Viren Bakshi in today's Hindu Delhi Edition

A true Gentleman. His creations are apt reflection of his thought - pure music. I have met him a couple of times and his keen sense of connecting to your requirments are amazing.
I am currently using Lyrita gear very happy with the explosion of clean sound.

Thanks Virenji.

Hats Off to a fellow Delhite.

I hope to meet him someday- to feel music the way it is supposed to be reproduced.

Have had the pleasure of meeting him and listening to his setup some years back ! No second thought bout the kind of person he is,A through gentleman he is!!

Never ever pushes for anything, always ready to help you out even if you are not buying anything from him !

Good that folks now in the mainstream media are talking about him and this should only grow.

A perfect gentleman.Though I have not met him he patiently addressed my doubts regarding valve amplifiers via e mail and also gave valuable suggestions.Hope to meet him when I happen to visit New Delhi.

Thanking you,

pksnathan

I was so surprised to see this profile - good of the Hindu to profile such people doing different and unique things. And just from the profile, he seems like the gentleman everyone who has met him at as he is. Will definitely have to take a trip down to Lyrita to spend some time with their systems

I had a wish to meet two great guys of this industry -

1. Mr Shyam Bajaj
2. Mr Viren Bakshi

Till now, one wish has been fulfilled after meeting Mr Bajaj.
Now remains to meet this gentleman.

All this "HAND MADE" will cost a bomb (I don't want to name them here of course it is all known to most of the members) as they claim / sell it as an asset than an electronics in US and Europe. That way we have some audio designers and makers in India to be in limelight.

Handmade does not necessarily mean expensive. Good examples of such brands keep the cost low using this business model ! Most audio equipment especially that are made using classic manufacturing methods can be made to the highest standards in a cottage industry model with handful of people provided all knowhow, facilities are made available. Many manufacturers keep their units small and easily manageable so that many horror factors related to marketing and overheads do not make them lose their focus.

There are many such stellar examples like sugden, valvet, lfd, brinkmann, shindo (many examples in Germany and UK itself).

According to some schools of thought, classic hifi is best kept as a small operation.
