I found this link from another forum, find it very interesting about noise issues of Sigma Delta Based Dacs. It also indicates some audiophile aspect of sound & ear which may not very common phenomenon with general people, but possible explanation and solution in the eye of designer cum engineer (Martin Mallison, CTO, ESS Technology) is quite interesting. Presentation was given on rocky mountain audio fest. I do not know if anyone had already shared it. If you can keep patience for an hour then watch it.
