Hi Badri,

This probably means that the NR-5008 has some internal short, causing the fuse of your room to trip. If you have the 5008 connected to a stabilizer, then there could be a problem with the stabilizer too.
If thats so, it is unfortunate. Where did you get the 5008 from?

Beep

did you check all speaker cables on back? No loose strands hanging around?

what if it is running short of power. Will it happen if there is not enough power to pull? And by the by the trip switch for that room is 6A. One of our forum member passed some information like that problem is happening because of there is not enough power. And he mentioned that the trip switch which i am using is B type. He asked me to change it to D type. I dont know about these electrical stuffs. Anyway i am checking all the possibilities. Thanks for your reply. And check you pm please.

I checked all the cables. And I wired it again. The problem is occuring only in the day time. I am in an apartment. My guess is it is happening because the receiver is not getting the expected amount. Normally trip will happen only when it is overloaded i think. Anyway it is my guess. And your setup is a very nice one Manoj.

Yes Badri,

Yep, i got the PM, thanks for that.
I dont know about the B and D type, but definitely the fuse can blow if it is asked to supply more current than its max current rating.
It is the same as when the fuse of an entire house is blown when we use some electrical equipment that has an internal short circuit.
And 5008 is the only Onkyo receiver with a toroidal transformer.
The current pull by the receiver need not necessarily be from the toroidal transformer(although there is a good chance that is the reason), it could be from the other transfomers as well. The 5008 has 4 transformers, one of them toroidal.
You may need to put a 10 A or higher rated MCB for your room with the receiver, since you have other equipment too that will need about 2 to 3 A of current put together.
And if you have the 5008 and other equipment hooked to a UPS / stabilizer, you need to ensure the UPS has sufficient power rating to handle the whole load. :)

Cheers
