Hi folks I've looked through some of the forums but cant seem to find my issue anywhere. I have recently updated the firmware on the onkyo 609 and since doing this I find my audio and video on both blu-ray and tv freezing /sticking and making watching films or basic tv impossible to watch. This is the first issue I have had with this avr untill the firmware update it was fantastic. Has anyone else experienced this issue also or could anyone give some advice on how to fix it? I am relatively new to all this so not sure where to start. Just hope it is not faulty. what do you all think??

Cheers Gary

Gary,

I have the same amp and haven't faced that problem. Have you upgraded to the latest version of the firmware? If yes, can you try to rollback to the previous version (if its possible) or do a factory reset?

Thanks for your reply, Yes i have just recently updated to the latest firmware and it will not allow me to roll back or try to update again. I'm concerned it may have got damaged during the firmware update as I did not turn the hdmi control (RHID) to off. looking through the onkyo website it states that this shoulf be put to off before doing firmware update or could cause your avr problems. I havent tried to factory reset yet but think I'll give it a go and see what happens. thanks for your help

Factory should do the trick : In front panel hold the DVR/VCR input button and press power. It will show "Cleared" on the front panel and power off.
