Hi, I got my Onkyo 616 a couple of days ago. Set everything up, working fine.
Couple of queries:
1) Airtel HD DTH, connected through HDMI outputs PCM audio for HD Channels. Why is that? Doesnt Airtel throw out HD audio from it's HDMI outputs? I used to get Dolby Digital on my earlier H/K Amp using Optical cable!
2) I'm trying to set up the Wi-Fi. I have a WEP protected home network. I've purchased a USB dongle for my Onkyo - UWF 1 - which I'm setting up as per the instructions in the manual. It shows 'connected' with approximately a 60% signal strength. But I cannot browse anything. Even my Android Remote App for Onkyo doesnt detect the Amp. It's supposed to detect it if connected onto the same WiFi network.
Questions:
1) Is there any way to find out what IP is assigned by the DHCP server (which my WiFi router has) to the Onkyo? For the life of me I cant figure this out, and it's driving me CRAZY!!!
2) In the Onkyo, the moment you enable DHCP, all the IPs get zeroed out. Is there any way to see from within the Onkyo what IP's actually been assigned to the Amp?
3) From the WiFi router, I can see the MAC of the ONKYO as one of the clients that's latched on. So I know it's latching on there, but cant find the IP.
4) Once I find the IP, I'll try accessing it through the Windows browser of my PC and troubleshooting further.
Little help would be appreciated!
