Onkyo hts 3300 subwoofer thud sound

hi guys,

I bought onkyo hts 3300 and connected to tatasky HD STB. Everything works fine, but when I change the channels, I hear a thud sound in Subwoofer!

Any idea what could have gone wrong?

Make sure of the connections once again. I think that this click sound is generated from the STB and I am not sure that you can completely eliminate this sound. Set the volume level of the STB to 25% or even 20% and give a try.

I am using the ditto setup with Tata Sky HTB and no such problem even when STB vol is maximum. Appears connection or setting problem.

How did you connect HDMI or coaxial?

GOT IT!!!! Found the reason for woofer noise

The coaxial cable from STB to Receiver ( by the way I do not have dedicated coaxial cable, I just used one rca cable) was the reason for that thud sound in the subwoofer. I replaced it with hdmi, now everything fine.

Any one out there knows which hdmi cable is good quality?

Are you getting 5.1 from your STB to hts 3300? I have Tata Sky HD and HTS 3300 but am not getting 5.1 on HD channels. Please let me know. ASAP

I got it myself. Audio Sel: was in HDMI changed it Coax and it worked
