Optical (TV) to Coax (Home Theatre)

My TV has a optic out port however my home theater has a Coax in only. Any solutions? I have searched Google for optic to Coax adapters but not sure how good they work. That is, if the 5.1 audio is degraded, audio video sync issue, etc.

Well, that is not a conventional chain. It is a workable solution, however, to expect it to be absolutely perfect and being at par with the right components is being over-optimistic.
