Hi guys,

I'm a proud owner of this beauty, but recently I was out of town for 2 months, so my tv was not used, yesterday I switch on & I see there are 2-3 patches of white area ( visible only in when screen is black (no picture), I never noticed this before, whats the problem ?

I'm attaching 2-3 pictures.

Ok.. Then test it yourself.. Go to any TV store where you can locate this TV in demo... Do the same thing & check if you can notice anything similar... If it is, then you don't have to worry abt anything... If not let the technician know abt it....

If you haven't purchased extended warranty( 2yrs), urge you to purchase it before your standard warranty expires... This is the only hold that we have on the manufacturers today...

i think so,This is the only hold that we have on the manufacturers today.thanks

This is the exact same reason i stay away from LCD's , have my Dell IPS monitor exhibit the same stuff and i live with it because slight bleeding will always be there. Love the plasmas so much just because all these issues are not there in the technology.

Please call customer care, they should replace the panel or the TV itself as light is passing through when it should be completely black. In dark scenes you will still see the patches showing up.

This is backlight bleeding and I am sure you will face same when watching night scenes in a dark room with lights off.

What is TV's brightness settings and back-light settings.

Lodge a complaint and which area in India you reside.

I have called yesterday to lodge a complaint, not received any response as of now. (despite of them complaining you'll receive a call in 24 hours)

Yes, I have tried with different settings but that thing isn't going.
Already made the complaint but no response from panasonic, I'm from NCR.

I understand the situation you are passing through. It becomes really frustating and irritating when your complaint is unheard by the manufacturer. Do try to follow up against any tickets raised by them. Also get the second and third level escalation points of contacts. As suggested by members purchase the extended warranty immediately as you never know when you need it at the end of the standard one.
If this is the quality of panny customer care in NCR I wonder what's in store for rest of india.

Today some guy visited & said its completely fine, no need for further action, hmm where I stand now ? make complain again ?

He said you can see that thing even on brand new tv in showroom, he said it has no problem in producing picture

May be as other FM pointed out, this could be a common issue with LED TV... Try to find sometime & take a demo of new TV in showroom... If that TV also behaves the same way as yours, then it isn't an issue...

OK. I think it is wise to test a scene from a bluray like Gravity to check if clouding is affecting the darker part of a scene like the opening scene where earth and deep black space is shown in the same frame.
If the clouding is seen on the dark part of the scene, then there is will be a point to go back to them asking for a replacement.

I'll try, how to push for replacement
