Part 2 Harbeth vs Sound Lab

Dear FM,

Here are two short clips made using iPhone internal mic recording the Harbeth and Sound Lab speakers from the exact location. I would appreciate if you guys would vote. The poll is above this post. It is just preference and there is no right or wrong answer. Some like electrostatics and some like driver type speakers.

Thank you Rikhav. I am using my Dell PC's speakers. I have changed nothing except in the second poll the loudness level as it was very difficult to judge using the ears.

i enjoyed this poll.

maybe after a statistically right sample size of 30 is reached, the OP can reveal which is which ?

I think I understand that some part may sound better in the other speaker but I guess we have accept them for what they are. Maybe, you can pick which gives you an overall satisfaction.

Btw, is there a way I could make the the poll public? I can't see who is voting to thank them.

Isn't that a Tsuyoshi Yamamoto cover of No Problem? Nice track...My guess is that AutumnA is played through Sound Labs as I feel that there is more decay in the top end and the treble is nice and sparkly and the other Autumn track is played on the Harbeths ...

Personally I like AutumnA more than Autumn as I like the treble to show off a little...

Do tell me if I was right on the speakers or not...Need to valdate my hearing before spending more money on any hifi....

Thanks for the suggestion. Probably a separate thread for sound comparison. I thot of recording the entry level Marantz PM8004 and Classe Amplifier to see the difference in Amps. Let's see how it goes.
