pathetic servicing from Sonodyne

This is post for all guys looking for sonodyne products.I have lost my patience and very sad to post this thread.
let me explain a lil bit first.
My subwoofer roarr 210 showed excessive humming problem.I got it as brand new from my dealer.
I send it to service center bangalore and they replaced the amplifier module.
After that I noticed the tonal quality has been drastically changed and the sound became very bad.the amp heat excessively even after 10 minutes of use.

I called the service guy and other sonodyne heads and they said me send it back and they said they are sending a new piece as replacement.

I have lost so much time for all this.I have no dealer in kottayam and I have to go to cochin which is 80kms away from my town.Yesterday I went to cochin and Sonodyne people send me a 1 year old piece for me.

these are pics of the rplacement sub.You can clearly see its a used one and this one is a 1 year old model of roarr 210.the driver is silver colour which is the model before two years and they upgraded there driver and amp section Now the roarr 210 comes with black driver with upgraded amplifier.So that they increased the price from 16k to 19.5k

told you not to waste time on sonodyne. You could have disposed it off and gone for VFM Astonia SUB. Am really happy with the new 200W sub purchase.

I was considering a sonodyne integrated amp. for a third setup, but after reading various posts on bad service (and potentially problematic equipment), I have decided to stay away. Hope they get their act together.

I am planning to go to consumer court.This is absolutely cheating.
I already posted some pics of roarr 210 amp.the entire sub will cost only 3000 maximum for manufacturing including the labor cost.they are selling it for 19k.
All the amps,loudspeakers and audio products are qouting twice or thrice the original cost.But they are providing good support for their customers.

Really feel sad for what had happened to you.....

Try to hold your patience.....I know it is tough when things like this happen....Talk to them & tell that you are not convinced with this old model & you are looking for a new model (Black one)...

I would say give an other try.....Don't loose hope.....

Shoot them a e-mail with copies to all branches. Let them know that a customer cannot be taken for granted! The guys responsible should be answerable. The top officials may not be aware of these happenings. Such things happen sometimes when the servicing is franchised.
 
^^^Sir I already sent mails to all service centers and head offices.I even talked with Anjan Roy,Abhishek chaudhary,Anindya Bhattacharya and lots of people.After all these I got this used product.
 
Very bad. Send a link of this thread and photographs to them and ask for new one. I was interested in buying a Roar sub, but now I need to think twice.

Sonodyne changed their roar 210 subwoofer driver and upgraded their amplifier section and the price is now 19.5k

they have a previous version of roarr 210 which has silver color driver that cost 16k.link for the pic is shown below.

the black version is having very improvement in tonal quality and output.

My friend owns the silver version which he baught before 1.5 years ago for 15k

What more to expect from Indian business house who always have the motto "Your money in my pocket". Customer service is for real business not for the crooks who want to make only money.
 
it is a problem in india like this.I also bought aviano 6 from bangalore,next day tweeter not working,I asked dealer he given used tweeter. can't do anything.

really very sad to give used and old sub woofer.
 
Just booked 2 sonodyne products, floorstanding speakers and amp.

Never saw this thread.

The one who suggested me these products did not tell about after sales service :(

well, hope they change in the future, the service aspect.

But I've heard them, the speakers, and they are reaaly good.

LET Me take the wait and watch approach WRT service. :)
 
This is what happens when you have moderately good product, but don't have good enough processes in place to manufacture them. Also a robust process is required for catering to customer service. Good and robust processes can only be achieved over time. This is what most big companies do.
Time for improvement 'Sonodyne' else your business will cripple. Take this feedback from 'manu-george' in positive way and use it to Improve your business, any organization will continuously strive to make improvements in any way or form they can be it the product, processes (bringing the cost down) or customer satisfaction.
