I am using a pioneer 1019 and happy with its performance. Cant review it like gurus here but dont have any interconnect or performance issues.
Planning to sell for a 3d upgrade. Have to see how much can I get for a 1 year old receiver.

It dont have 3d??

Dosen't have 3d.

Is it possible to get digital audio out from present new gen 3d tv coming in market now with hdmi1.4 and optical/coax connections?

Then I can retain this avr and connect my pc and blu-ray player to tv through hdmi and take optical/coax out from tv to avr to decode audio?

Dont sell your good receiver. Ther is no problem in not having 3d in it. Any way u need a 3d tv fo 3d viewing. Then buy a 3d bluray player. Connect the HDMI output from the 3d bluray player to your 3d TV or projector. For sound use a coaxial or optical out from the bluray player to the Pioneer AVR. Thats all problem solved. :ohyeah::ohyeah:

I am getting Sony STRDH810 for about 14k. I know its a degrade, but just thinking for direct 3d, not able to decide

Any body tried playing 3d content through 1019 to see if it passed through?
I don't have a 3d display yet to check.

Have a Pioneer 519 since the last 18 months. Very easy to use, excellent performance. Not too many bells & whistles on it, that too, I have hardly made use of them ever.

Has a regular FM (always present) in the AVR ..... further connected to a DVDp, TV, a turntable, a cassette deck ... covers practically the entire spectrum of AV .....

Briefly review your AVRs sound quality please:licklips:

A wee bit on the brighter side with my Wharf Moviestar 70+ ..... but, thats how I like it when watching a movie in 5.1. On 2 or 2.1 channel, music comes out super.

Technically, sound quality depends more on the speakers than the AVR. The AVR only adds its flavour .... signature to the overall sound specs.

Hi Guys,
I am planning to buy either VSX1020k or VSX1021k.
What if i buy it from ebay or amazon as they price offer is quite good or should i go for some Indian Dealers. Help me guys here.

Just pulling your attention to the fact that you will need to purchase a step-down transformer if you are buying from US, since the voltage there is 120v, while in India, it is 220-230v.

General consensus is that the speakers should cost twice as much as the AVR, as they are more important that the AVR itself, in your home theater setup.

I have paired VSX-919 with KEF satellites (got from PROFX). They sound a bit bright, but effect is nice. The KUBE subwoofer packs a punch when needed.

MRP at PROFX was 75,000 2 years ago. I think it might still be the same. But they gave a 10% discount.

Here's the link. Model No. KHT-2005.3 with KUBE-2 subwoofer.
