Hi Buddies ,
Do anybody of you have any idea / experience of purchasing TT through eBay ? which will be shipped from USA . For a Technics SL 1200 MK II what will be a reasonable price ? Also any customs duty or other applicable charges I have to pay as extra? Any Idea ?
 
I have purchased an AR XA turntable from USA last year. I purchased it for less than USD 100 on Ebay but spent more than USD 300 for its complete renovation in US itself. Duty charged was round INR 800 only. However, I imported a set of SAE pre and power from Germany and the duty charged was more than INR 8,000. I don't know how do they work out the duty.

I don't know the right price for 1200 MkII, other FMs may comment. But I understand that you should have 50 Hz pulley fitted for Indian power system which may be an additional cost. Cheers

Technics tts are dds so don't require 50hz pulley. Modt of Them come with voltage adjustment, else you can you it with step down transformer.
