Pioneer SP-PK21BS - help??

There are a couple of other threads about these speakers going on. Pioneer released a new version of these speakers more than a year back - PKBS22. It also has a set of floorstanders FS22 and a center C22 if you want the whole 5.0 set.

One of our members 'spirovious' also has these speakers for sale on this forum. Recently I too have bought the 5.0 set along with a few other members on this forum. Pioneer is also selling these speakers directly through their dealers and have listed these on their website (with a different model number though)

At this price point these are quite good, but do look at CA S30 and NHT Superzero too.

I thought these are active speakers that can be connected to a PC sound card. For my own reasons I wanna steer clear of AVRs/AMPs and HTIBs.

Nope. These are your regular passive speakers. But do give them a listen. You will be pleasantly surprised

I am sure they are better than "PC" speakers.

Can you guys help me locate a Pioneer dealer in Kerala for HT? I looked up Pioneer India's website and there are no home audio dealers near or around Trivandrum. Lots of them for car audio though!

I inquired with 2 dealers in Trivandrum about the price and availability of Pioneer bookshelves and center channel, but both are saying it is only available as 5.1 package with price around 54K. I just need the 3.0 setup for the time being with the BS22s and CS22 and I was hoping to get it under 20K. :sad:

I am not having much luck finding more Pioneer HT dealers here, only car audio is very popular. Anyone know a dealer who can courier the 3 speakers to me?

Pioneer indeed sells this as separates in the rest of the world, wonder what's their problem with India!
