playing aa3 dolby file in onkyo 3500

I think the usb can play only music files like mp3. Renaming the file to mp3 may work.

Do u have audio songs in the format of .ac3 (5.1) ? if so just pluggin the usb stick it ll play.

hmm. did you cut the songs from the dvds ?

could you please eloborate little bit more. which format the songs are excatly in ? and how you got the songs in that format?

.AA3 files that uses Sony's ATRAC (Adaptive Transform Acoustic Coding) compression; supported by Sony audio devices and the Connect Music Services online store, which has been discontinued.

i guess it's not a DD 5.1 file which you are trying to play.

If you really want a quality sound just download FLAC (Lossless format) files rather than DD 5.1 which is a compressed format.

I dont think it will do from usb port...it will do may be via hdmi from a player...you have to test it for confirmation
