Hello

I have a Samsung LED tv , a philips dvd mini hifi sound system, and a slim philips player

I wanted to know the best speakers I can get below 20k to connect these ..

Basically I dont want a new player, just the speakers to connect to my present tv/system

Preferably a 5 or 7 speaker system, with best sound quality in that range..

Thanx a lot..

What would you connect the speakers to? You'd need something to amplify the signals and decode the various audio/video formats - a receiver. I am not sure whether you'd get a good output by directly connecting speakers to the DVD player.

If you still want to invest in low-budget 5.1 speakers you can read up about Monoprice's speaker set on their website. It was available with Avenue Sound (Mumbai) for around 13.5K in around Aug.

Hi, You need a Receiver to connect any Speaker which might cost aroung 20k, and set of 5.1 speakers in the range 30k to 50k check Pro FX site or JBL India. If you are not concerned about quality you can go for Logitek, Creative or Edifier 5.1 systems costs well below 20k where in you do not need a seperate receiver.

Krishna

Suggest to increase your budget to 25k and get the Onkyo HT-S3500 or the 3400 which is an older model but might be available cheaper. This will be the best bang for buck 5.1 system.
If not, then another option is a sound bar. For 20k you should be able to get sound bars in JBL, Polk Audio, Boston Acoustics, etc.

That's old price, 3500 is 33k+ now.

For excellent sound that won't break the bank, the 5 Star Award Winning Wharfedale Diamond 12.1 Bookshelf Speakers is the one to consider!
