LG is bringing out new C9 and the specs are lofty.
1. Black frame insertion at 120hz(currently it operates at 60hz which produces flicker)
2. Improved Motion processing algorithms on the second gen alpha 9 processor.
3. HDMI 2.1 support supporting HFR from hdmi.
4. 13 ms input lag for gaming(lowest ever seen)

They have also included HDMI 2.1. Hope they will fix the OLED burn-in.
I dont think they would ever fix the oled burn in. Organic stuff is doomed to degrade. There is no workaround. That being said, if you can squeeze 5 years out of any tv you already utilized their life.

Sir every year something new will come, I usually make my purchase for 4 yrs and then don't care, and enjoy what I got. So I will start looking at new TV now in 2023.
the best thing to do , is live like a frog in the well until your stuff breaks not looking at new stuff that comes out, not looking at prices of your stuff going down. ;)

Dear LG Oled Owners-
I am planning to buy a LG C8 55" for 1.3 with 10 k cash back after 3 months which means effective price will be 1.2. Is it a good price considering we are in 2019 ??& c9 is about to launch sooner or later in india & i am offered with( 1+1) year additional warranty on panel. I have a doubt, if in these two years i face any burn in issue on screen than is it covered under panel warranty?? Will LG replace by panel ?? i got this quotation for LG authorized Brand store.

Your answers to this will be highly appreciated .

Thanks in Advance!!

NOTHING GREAT ABOUT C9 except hdmi 2.1 & obviously C8 may run for 1 year as stock avl ,just like now still we are getting B8 model.

Meanwhile in Europe, the b8 was last week 1000€!! Damn the prices going down. I almost paid double for my 1.5 years back. I am pretty sure there would be folks who paid even more for b6!!!

Initial findings from Whathifi reviewer is that the LG C9 has robust motion handling. Hope LG has finally nailed down its motion issues.
