Preset Code for Sun Direct Remote - Any Ideas

Dear All,

Im trying to configure the preset code for the sundirect connection to Denon 1909 Remote control. I found the code for my TV (Samsung) and DVD player (Akai) its just the sundirect remote present code is still pending. I called up customer service and it seems they are not aware of this. Not sure who can help me in this. Any ideas please?

I dont think Denon 1909 remote has some learning mode so that I can configure it by other means. Seems I need to badly depend on preset codes.

Try to find out the company which made the SunTV STB. If you find that out you will be able to use the corresponding preset code.

An alternate method: Though it may not have a learning feature, I have heard of remotes being able to scan through all its IR codes and try to power down the 'target' device (while its running) in question.

One caveat to note is that even though if this works, there is a good chance that all the buttons on your Sun remote might not get mapped properly onto your Denon remote. Best of luck.

Hi Thanks for the response. The Sundirect STB is made from COSHIP electronics (think its from china) Im trying to findout any preset code for their infrared remote. If at all any of you find something please let me know.

Denon 1909 will support only 3 digit preset code i think because if i enter the 3 digits the flash light is switched off in the remote. I find lot of codes exceeding 3 digits. So now im confused whether these preset codes itself Remote specific?

Higher versions of Denon having 5 digits preset codes.

I have found the model as CDVB6750 from COSHIP Electronics. Still couldnt find any preset codes :sad:

Most if not all preset codes are remote specific (or company specific). You may need to contact Denon Customer care for help on this front.

If this fails, you may want to try and go brute-force by trying each 'cable' preset code and see if the coship STB responds.
