Price difference Marantz & Denon

Hello everyone
Just a query regarding price of Marantz SR7008 and Denon X4000. Got a quote of 1 and 1.32 lakh respectively but their prices in USD are 1299 & 1999. That is in India Denon is costlier and in US its Marantz. Why this difference ?

Marantz is expnsv here than denon because of superior quality. Better recheck wattage n model comparison.

I think you mixed up the $ and ? figures in your above post. In any case there is no correlation between the international pricing and their rupee pricing. Depends on the dealer network. For ex some speakers are quoted slightly lower then the uk pound pricing. And yes the mark up on Denon products are higher then Yamahas.

They are built in the same factory with similar part quality by DNM holdings. A peek inside will tell you that the design layouts are the same too. However they are voiced differently. Denon's sound signature is more mass market U shaped with slightly exaggerated bass and treble. Marantz on the other had has a more mature sound signature with emphasis on mid range purity.

I assume you have mistyped. Denon would be about $999 not 1999. In the UK Denon is listed at 900 and Marantz at 1000 (GBP). I can only assume that the US has lower prices for Marantz vs Denon as Marantz is perceived differently there.
