AVR-1611 is supposed to be a 7.1 Ch Receiver, but mentioned as a 5.1 Ch Receiver in the Advertisement. Atleast as per the link here Denon USA | AVR-1611, Off the topic though

There was a thread on this topic. AFAIK the US version is 7.1 and the Asian version is 5.1

Correcting myself, Denon 1611 meant for the Asian Markets will be a 5.1 Ch Receiver it seems. I might be wrong though. As per the Denon Singapore website, it shows up as a 5.1 Receiver. link DENON SINGAPORE :: The First Name In Digital Audio

I tried posting twice on the sale by owners but my thread never appeared...wonder why ?

Am Selling this player 'cause I do not use Blu ray disks, will be using a media player for playing all content. Also, I already have a DVD player which is good enough for the moment hyeah:

Although my dealer is advising me to keep this player as it has audiophile SQ and VQ, he has even gone to extent of telling me I am making a mistake by selling this

Are you sure the BDP has 1 year warranty?. Profx hyderabad mentioned there
wont be any warranty on the player and it is just bundled along with the
receiver by Denon.
