I bought a sony cdp-xe900e from a forum member.
From day 1 its a pain in d ass. It plays songs from track 1 to 5 smoothly but as it progresses it starts skipping (u know the seconds on the timer keeps moving back and forward).So one day i thought lets see whts d prbs. Wht i found out was that as cd goes back i.e tracks goes forward from 5 to 6 there is a faint hiss sound as if d cd is rubbing against some object.I opened d hood and slightly touched down d cd and wallah cd starts running smoothly from tracks 6. But as i move my hands then again same problem ...skips seconds....
I think the lens is alright....wht do u think....and one more thing...is it right that if i change d lens of the cdp the SQ will decrease...coz there is saying that goes the lens that is fitted in this cdp is far superior quality than that u get in d market at present.
Please help me guys...in any manner possible..nd i did try cd cleaner but no result.I want to know what is the problem..nd if i get this to a local repairing guy is it ok...
