I have been using pulseeffects on Linux for sometime, especially the equalizer to tame down the bass boominess in my room. Equalizer works systemwide, so I can listen to youtube as well as main audio player with the same EQ settings. Also there are so many useful filters/applications, just check out this video if you are using a Linux OS to play your music. It works with pulseaudio as well as pipewire and very stable now a days.
Also the sine wave symbol on he left side of the titlebar is used to generate test tones. Quite helpful to identify any boominess if you don't have devices with room correction built in.
