I am currently using Energy Take classics 5.1 with Denon 1910. Planning to upgrade the speaker system.
liked wharfedale 10.7 and 9.6 but most of the people discouraging these FSs to pair with 1910 due to amplifier's poor power rating and 1910 doesn't have pre-outs.
Hence planning on system with Bookshelves, first thing came to mind is Q acoustics 2000.
Question is comparing to my current speaker system(Energy Take classics 5.1) which are Sats, will I see a huge improvement in sound quality for Movies (Occasionally music) with Q acoustics 2000 or any other BS speaker package (for a room size of 16X17 feet)?

Any suggestions on BS speaker package within 50K are appreciated.

Also give it a shot to Deftech procinema 800/1000... Btw just a time to upgrade or any other reason with Energy take ?

I would strongly suggest you take a personal audition of the same movie with both Energy and QA. I would not be surprised if you do not hear much difference.

Cheers

I too agree with Venkat, I'd suspect you will be able to tell a difference. The Energy TCs are by themselves pretty good a spkr system and match quite well with the mid-rated amps like the 1910 that you've got.

Again nothing like a back-2-back audition. Try to audition music and movies.

IB, I have a q 1010 package, believe me they pack in a punch. that too with a 'not so advanced' receiver. q 2000 series are even better.

Thanks to all you guys.
@kittu1977: Just to have an upgrade..no issues with ET Classics they are fabulous for Movies and decent with music for my room size.
@Venkatcr: Sure will have an audition before deciding. That's what I want to know whether I could feel improvement in Sound quality with Q acoustics or any other BS package.

@idlebrain:
Have you auditioned Q Acoustics 2000 series?
Infact I am using Q Acoustics 2020 as sterio with my Yamaha v667. It sound very good. But thinking to buy Energy Take Classic or RC Micro shortly to complete 5.1/7.1. Though it does not compromise V667, I do not like to spend more than 50K for the speaker. So I just wanted to know how do you find Energy Take Classic with Q Acoustics 2000 series. I still have not auditioned Energy Take Classic/RC Micro, but I think it would not be disappointing me as it does not have any -ve news so far. But I would like to see your experience with it.

First of all, I am not an Audiophile, so better audition yourself once.

Now my feedback about my QA.
Overall sound is so clear, sharp. I think it give tight bass and balanced sound. Though still it could have burn as I used it just 10 hours max so far.
Overall I like it.

But I am so curious to finish the 5.1 setup now and live with it and within 50K max.
Even though I liked Q Acoustics sound, I wish to take Energy Take Classic as I find a remarkable feedback (157 five stars, 27 four stars out of 190 feedbacks) with it and also each channel rated at 100W (QA is just 75W) and comes within my budget. So once I supposed to purchase it, I will have 7.1 channel HT system (with QA) ;).

Though thinking to pair ETC (5.0) with BIC America F12 sub since it ETC sub is just 8".

Hope my decision will be right.

Q aco2000 can be better with Den1910.They can be dynamic as 1010i.

I find QAcoustics 2000 very good for both music and movie. You should hear it out before deciding.

Fro 191x series.. QA Package is very good... i myself have heard it felt it... many times... awesome movie experience,,, though they are not great for music as they perform in for movies...

Please anybody tell what is the actual price of Energy RC Micro?
I think ETC 5.1 were around 25K. But current RC Micro price being vary at every location.
I find more or less same configuration between them, but price seems double with RC Micro.
I checked with Chennai - Energy showroom then they quoted 42K.
Is it advisable to take at this price or since it is at same configuration, is it good to stick ETC?

Kindly please advice.

Thanks

Hi sakitram

I suggest you to look into the option of getting it from Newegg.com or amazon.com website using either borderlinx/aramex or any other shipping. You can opt with the 5.0 speakers which are going at a very good price and the total weight might not cross 4 or 5 kgs as they are satellite speakers. I have purchased the same set for $169 in December and one of my friends is carrying in march. I think at around $170 + shipping/customs it should not be more than 16k to 20k. You can get a sub in India as this is the heaviest item in the parcel.

Hope it should help.

Thanks
