The legendary Singer of "Pyar huya Ikrar huya hai", "Laga Chunri mein daag", "Zindagi Kaisi Hai Pehli" is no more.

He was a Bengali Singer who was equally successful in Hindi film arena and singer of countless immortal hits.

He was suffering from chest and kidney disorder. He left us for ever in the early morning today at 3:50 am.
 
Definitely the best male playback singer in india ever in my book.
I remember meeting him in a planet M. got his autograph too.. really a great guy.
A really sad day for music lovers all over.
 
Absolutely sad and shattering... Lot of memories associated with the songs he sung, and the feeling that he was still with us. RIP Manna De.
 
Truly a legend... May his soul rest in peace!!
It was his song "Aye Mere Pyare Watan" from the film 'Kabuliwala' that made me won a prize in a school competition :-)

My Mother-in-law who herself is a music teacher is a fan of Manna De and use to enjoy his songs a lot. R.I.P.
