Why on the earth I opted for Big TV? I am sure that they won't be telecasting ICC WC and IPL in HD even if all other operators will surely do that.

yes you are right ! big tv deserves the worst hd dth award with only one hd channel inspite of launching much earlier than others and no dolby 5.1

I sent mail to Big TV few days ago (after repeatedly failing to get answers for these from their CC guy) :

I am an existing Big TV customer and I have availed HD-DTH service from Big TV. I would like to know that, which new HD channels Big TV is planning to add in near future, apart from Nat Geo HD and Star TV (upsacled). Also it'll be great if I could get clarification on following points:

1. ESPN Star Sports have published that they will be providing HD feeds of all the matches to be played in ICC Cricket world cup. So I expect Big TV will make them available to customers?

2. Times Network has launched/is launching Movies NOW channel, which will telecast movies in HD format, when Big TV is going to add that channel in package?

3. Why can't, Big TV like other DTH operators in India (Tata Sky HD & Airtel Digital HD), provide audio of its HD channels in 5.1 surround channels (Dolby Digital 5.1)?

We are constantly increasing our channel lineup and today boost of more than 243 channels. This is the maximum no of channels provided by any DTH service provider in India.

Well its clear form this that how serious they are about taking forward the Indian DTH industry.

they show interest on sd channels than hd cos the customers use hd is in the ration of 25:1...........
