Assuming we use good quality wires, what would be the maximum length of RCA one could run between preamp and Poweramp? I may need to have about 6 to 12 feet. If this is acceptable then which cable to use? Thanks.

I have tried 3 meter MX with monster RCA connectors and overall sound did not suffer much. More the length, more the capacitance ,then some rolloff in High frequencies may happen. All depends on cable design.

arj has mentioned correctly above.
Maximum recommended length for Rca is 1.5 to 2 metres. i.e 6 feet.
Whether it makes a difference is subject to many other factors.
