Hi,

I have maruti swift dzire Vxi model. The music system that comes with it doesn't have a USB connectivity but only Aux. I need it. I was wondering if I should go for a 2din or single din. I heard there are now lot of touch screen models that have come in 2din. I need to be able to brows ethrough the list of files/folders and select them - For this I can only go for 2 din ?
Speaker suggestion needed for the ICE.

I heard 4250 pioneer model costing 24.5 without warranty in Chennai - Is it a good 2 din model ? - touch screen one.

Also, do we get any model where I can fit remote in the steering wheel itself ?

I have a basic 1-DIN Pioneer which has USB support - don't remember the model number offhand. Am very happy with the unit so far, and the USB support is very good. It also remembers the song that was playing on the USB when you switch off your car, and continues playing from there when you switch on your car again.

I can easily browse through files and folders in my 1-DIN as well using the remote. The remote has options to go to next/previous song as well as next/previous folder. It will also automatically "flatten" your folders if you have hierarchical folders, which allows you to sequentially browse through your folders (even if they are sub-folders). It has also never had problems reading my 16GB pen drive, and sound quality is adequate for me.

Personally, I couldn't find the added value of a 2-DIN - it just seemed to have a bigger screen, that is all. Then again, I'm not an expert.

The remote is a basic one though.

Thanks. cost wise 1din is around 6 - 8K , 2 din is 25K starting (touch screen model)

Please check last thursdays local times paper they have put nice 1-din 2-din latest editions of kenwood for 9900 as intro offers..... And maruti is giving 15% off on JVC headunits all over india.
