Has anyone bought these from the JBL guys in India? Any idea on pricing?

Will go and check the showroom at Worli, but past experience there has not been the most exciting.

I went to the showroom here in Hyderabad to try and audition the performa series. To their credit they had a concerta f12, but the amplification was some HK receiver and the source was a cheapo bluray player. Needless to say the whole setup sounded like crap, and though the salesman was apologetic he clearly stated that any other speaker in the line, I would have to just place an order without an audition or travel to Delhi or where-ever their HO is and try my luck there without any guarantee of an audition. At-least he was willing to let me bring my own amp. and source to try the concerta again.
Cheers
Sid

I heard what I think was the Performa series at ARN. They are dealing with Revel now. You should contact Sridhar for pricing and other queries.

Thanks, guys. Like a fool I didn't read this on Sunday and went to Worli where I didn't find the showroom, obviously! Will probably go next week:)
BTW that pricing is a little mad- at least for the Studio, the Salon seems reasonably priced. The US price ratio is 2:1 on these!

Showroom is at 2nd Floor, Palladium, Phoenix Mills Compound. It must be at least one year since they shifted from Atria. Last week I went in to this shop to ask if they had any interconnects. They promptly re-directed me to the Croma nearby and helpfully told me to look for Banridge cables:) Nice, but naive.

Ha ha:). I had the opposite experience- I walked in and the store manager rambled on about some supposed need to buy an HDMI cable worth Rs. 15,000 to enjoy the speakers I had. I politely told him to stfu. The actual audio sales guy was very nice though- he told me to go check out the Lyrita SETs and not waste my time on the HK receivers.
