Heard Jennifer Warnes this morning. HAve 2 albums
1) Famous blue raincoat and 2) The Hunter.
Both are superb and recordings are good.
For guys who are not familiar this is the woman who sang (I've had) The time of my life with Bill Medley in Dirty dancing and also the track 'Up where we belong" from An officer & a gentleman.
I really like her voice and the music and would heartily recommend.

this album was sent to me when i bought the Callisto FLs from Audire(thanks audire)...i had never heard Warnes and most of the songs in this album gave me an uncanny, dejavu kind of a feeling...
famous blue raincoat...bird on a wire..
...it was only after a few listenings did i figure out that these were songs by Leonard Cohen..a little research revealed that Warnes had indeed been one of the principal back up singers for Cohen in the 70s...
however i missed the deep, soulful, darkness of Cohen's voice...
another good album by Cohen is Dear Heather..a collaborative effort with Anjani Thomas...the album is experimental and jazzy and of course dark
also watch out,( surprise, surprise) for a live rendition of Tennesse Waltz.. ...

I am listening to Jean luc Ponty's " open mind" classic electric violin Jazz-Fusion album. Ponty worked with Stphane Grappelli, the Mahavishnu Orchestra, and Frank Zappa & L. Subramaniam. Mystical Adventure & Individual Choice are my favorite.
