Right now I am listening to ...

I have been searching, searching and searching for Bon Iver albums. Can't find them yet. Not really keen to buy one-two CDs off Amazon.

I bought them on Amazon (delivered to my sister in US) and picked them up on a previous trip.

The debut album is exceptional... a must have in any collection.

I am advanced by two weeks than you  I played some really nice jazz Christmas numbers a fortnight ago during a longish drive. My drive companions were wondering, "what the hell is wrong with this fellow."

BTW, I wholeheartedly recommend Merry Axemas for all axe fans. Standout track for me is Joy to the World by Steve Morse.

No nip in the air yet, here in Mumbai:)

thanks jls. will try and listen to it:)

Two albums, back-to-back, of the fretmeister Joe Satriani:
1) Flying in a Blue Dream
2) Surfing With The Alien

Some favourite tracks:
1) Always With Me, Always With You
2) Ice 9
3) The Forgotten Part 2
4) Flying in a Blue Dream
5) Surfing With The Alien

He's got a fantastic band. And the tone of his rhythm guitarist on Crushing Day, furiously chugging away like a big bad bike in 2nd gear at 40 miles per hour, is fantastic.

@jls001, @denom - If you like Satriani then check out Stevie Ray Vaughan. He made only a few albums but one of the best blues rock guitarists ever. Different genre than Satch but the best guitar playing ever (IMHO).

SRV is undoubtedly amongst the all-time greats. Unfortunately I never progressed beyond his Mary Had A Little Lamb, mainly for the naughty lyrics and the accessible guitar. My bro used to play it LOUD.

I abandoned listening to blues long ago. It is only now that I am making fresh inroads and that too not with the hard core ones (think lighter blues like Joss Stone or Sharon Jones and the Dap Kings).

Yea, have a couple of his albums, but never got down to giving them a good listen, maybe sometime in the near future.

:)

Meanwhile, in a dhingchak mood :D
