I listened to this number when I was quite young and found it spooky!

It is spooky! Very dark and haunting. I believe people have "interpolated" the story, but I'd rather be left with that spooky uncertainty of the original song.

I love JHJ, too. My CD of their greatest hits is less than sterling, though.

PSB: well, I can't handle their brand of electronica. But their music videos had that weird Britishness. And I loved them for it

Discovered this excellent Afro-Jazz band on Pandora while listening to 'Miriam Makeba radio'. With a name like that, how could they not be cool! Don't understand a word of what they sing, but I see it as a plus, as long as it hits the spot. I wish I could be as cool and rocking, if and when I get that old.
