Right now I am listening to ...

Unplugged : John Denver, recorded late into his career these songs sound absolutely gorgeous and the recording is awesome.

Playing Michel Petrucciani's Power of Three, recorded live at the Montreux Jazz Festival in '86. Excellent synergy amongst three vituousos - wayne Shorter on the soprano sax, Jim Hall on acoustic guitar and Petrucciani himself on piano.

But for a Blue Note DDD recording, there are ocassional distortions caused by overdriven level.

Recently bought a Audio CD of this movie and I must say the music is mesmerizing. I have heard the music in MP3 format, but the uncompressed music from the audio cd is no comparison.

really nice album. mltr never fails to invoke good memories:)

Is this album same as the "19 Love Ballads", released in 2004, as I'm not able to find the pictured CD, released in 2001.

As per the song listing, both compilations have the same songs.

Discovering Van Morrison. Yesterday it was Moondance. This morning it is Tupelo Honey. Lined up are Astral Weeks, Veedon Fleece, and Enlightenment.

Powerful performance (though I've been able to listen to it only on the car stereo) by Madhav Chari - Parisian Thoroughfares. The tempo in much of the album has a delightful sense of urgency. It is but inevitable to draw parallels to Vijay Iyer - both are pianists, both play fairly straightforward jazz, and both prefer small ensembles, and both are fine pianists.
