Right now I am listening to ...

You are welcome. Its good to listen to what people are listening to. There is so much undiscovered music to be found. I find this thread helpful and sometimes listen to artists that some people are listening to. :)

Listening to Rene Olstead - album 'Rene Olstead'. Heard her for the first time at Viren's(of Lyrita audio) place in 2008. Got this CD last week from Rythmhouse. Mesmerizing and soulful voice, and she was just 16 when she recorded this album.

Listening to UB40 : Labor of Love.

Thin Lizzy - Jailbreak.

Thin Lizzy is tough as rhino skin and as brutal as bandits, but it's leavened by Lynott's light touch as a singer, which is almost seductive in its croon. This gives Jailbreak a dimension of richness that sustains, but there's such kinetic energy to the band that it still sounds immediate no matter how many times it's played. Either one would make it a classic, but both qualities in one record makes it a truly exceptional album.

Finally, got my ancient TT (SLQ3) fitted with AT91 cartridge - not a bad performer for a cartridge at the bottom of the heap! Experiencing a bit of tweaking issues. After a period of 5 years, I am listening to my old vinyl collection & look forward to regain my interest in vinyl.

Listening to Van Morrison - Inner Mystic..

On September 5, 1971, Van Morrison recorded a good amount of material live for radio broadcast before a small studio audience at Pacific High Studios near San Francisco. While much of this has surfaced in extracts on numerous bootlegs, this two-CD set, with nearly 20 songs, offers a fuller version than is usually available from other sources. If you're looking for unreleased live Van Morrison, this should be one of your first stops. The sound is very good and clear, although it's a bit duller than the standard expected of official concert recordings. Morrison is in fine vocal form as he runs through much of his early catalog, including some of his most famous songs ("Tupelo Honey," "Into the Mystic," "Domino," "Blue Money"), though "Moondance" is absent. There are less-celebrated original compositions here, too, but most interesting of all are the few detours into even less-charted territory: covers of Bob Dylan's "Just Like a Woman" (an excellent, passionate version) and "Hound Dog," as well as Van's own "Friday's Child," dug up from his old Them days.
