22 years later and its still amazing how well Whitney sang...

Twink, Think Pink

In about 1972 I knew Twink slightly. He lived in a house I used to visit. He was a nice guy, but I had no idea that he was a musician, let alone quite a famous one, until one day I asked him what he did :o

Back home, this album was there in the pile. I don't think I've heard it for 40 years.

I was searching for my original Roja CD and found Pithukuli Muragdass CD. I salute to the recording engineer who created such a marvelous recording. I have heard this CD many times before but after more than 10 years of absence I played this CD today and the feeling was like I am there. Absolutely, a must have recording for Ambiophonics setup.

p.s. I am not promoting any religion nor I am in anyway remotely religious. I was interested with the vocal and music after hearing it over the radio.

Rediscovering my collection of Steely Dan albums over the last few days:
1) Gaucho (SACD)
2) Everything Must Go
3) Aja
4) Pretzel Logic

Listening to two albums from very different genres:

1) The Decemberists - The King is Dead. Contemporary Indie folk rock from the US west coast. They have some semblance to the sound of Brit folk band Mumford & Sons, but they're mellower than the later, and definitely less loud. But the country/bluegrass influence in both is unmistakable.
2) Kate Bush - Hounds of Love. Mid '80s "prog pop".

Spinning some country/folk albums this evening:

1) Zac Brown Band - You Get What You Give
2) Mumford & Sons - Sigh No More

BTW, anyone likes the duel between Chick Corea's piano and Bela Fleck's banjo on Senorita? It is wonderful.
