You're right....I was always curious about how Satriani would do in a group. Not too shabby. But even after a few listens, I think individually they have more talent than they showed collectively in this new super group.

Well yes the music is more "commercial" than just pure artistic expression.

BTW if you have not heard them then do check out Traveling Wilburys, it's a supergroup comprising of George Harrison, Jeff Lynne, (and my personal favorites these 3) Roy Orbison, Tom Petty and Bob Dylan. They made only two albums though sadly!

I believe it's jazz music (not really my liking). Do you like jazz yourself? Best is to Google his name and watch his videos on YouTube. Otherwise the recommended jazz music and musicians are Miles Davis (Kind of Blue album is a must have) and Thelonious Monk.

Others with interest in jazz music will have more inputs I'm sure.
