Scratched used CD

Its not bad for player as long as it skips and plays. But if that CD is taking more time to read, it can reduce lens life to some extend. I am saying this as l have seen a lens of open DVD player making more efforts(moving, focusing ) to read a bad CD.

Correct..

Anyone tried polishing cd's with cerium oxide powder, technically it should provide better results for those rare and heavily scratched cd's. Car headlight scratch remover compounds should also provide good results but skill and patience required for these.

Watch glass scratch repair folks can also do it if you are able to locate them.
