Hey guys! I just got myself a brand new 40' Sony EX400, I have a few questions below which I am really confused about so please help me out,

A) Ive decided on the Sony S370 Blu-ray player since its cheap and I am on a budget but I really want the YouTube streaming function for which I'll have to purchase a dongle which costs a costly 4000/-, will it YouTube function work with a third party dongle?

B) What's an AV receiver, I've been researching and everyone seems to have this in their equipment, how come it doesn't have a CD/Blu-ray slot?

C) The sound on my LCD by default is very low, terrible actually. Should I get myself a Soundbar which'll connect to the LCD, DTH connected via the old fashioned antenna pin on my LCD and ofcourse my XBOX 360 automatically, I dont want a soundbar where I'll have to remove the wire and connect manually everytime, hope you get me.

If you guys do suggest me for a receiver, is this a good one, My budget is very low and cant afford anything more than this: Home Theater Systems : HT-S3305 | ONKYO Asia and Oceania Website

Please help me out here. I feel sad for not understand any bit of all this.

Dear vshreyas,

I just completed setting up my HT and this forum helped me 200%. I was and probably still am, a 100% noob. For someone to really help you with your questions, they would need to know the following:

1) Your budget (max amt you are willing to spend)
2) Your room dimensions
3) Your viewing/audio prefs (movies vs music, games vs sat/cbl etc)

etc. Also read up all the old posts regarding HT/HTiBs in this section and you would get more info.

Thx,
~s~

vshreyas,
