I am planning to import some HT equipment from US in early Nov. Looking for ways to reduce my expensive shipping cost.

Let me know if someone wants to get speakers. We can share the shipping cost.

PM me what you need and I get the quote for shipping.

Of course, you will have to bear duty of 35% too.
No Indian Warranty, No returns. I will give US receipt for your purchase.
Pick up point will be Chennai Airport.

Denon 1612 is getting clearanced out.
I can get US Version at pretty cheap rate, $120 should be enough. Don't know if it is worth importing it to India.

I have already got a Pioneer VSK-821K.
Pioneers are better than Denon I think. I got this at even lower ridiculous rate anyway.

Passive Speakers are better to get from US. Should not have voltage problem.

Shenzhen Port. Guangzhou is where my suppliers are.

I am bringing it by Ocean freight through LCL. I am not sure if it is safer way for fragile AV equipment.

Ocean freight is cheap at China. But there local charges at Chennai port.

How many CBM do you have.
Does your supplier have export clearance at China. Customs inspection would cost money.
Trucking fee and loading charges, would that be borne by your supplier.
Is the object wooden, does it need fumigation.

I am planning to bring AV equipment from US, through Air Cargo. It is the safest way for delicate items.

I can accomodate a few extra kilos. It is a bit expensive as I do not have a lot of stuff and there is a minimum weight that would be charged.
I am trying to avoid myself to shop for stuff just to fill up.

If you find some AV equipment from Ebay/Amazon/etc, let me know.
May be you can get the sub woofer you have always wanted.

Send me the dimensions of the box and weight, I will send the quote.

Mine is LCL so much cheaper. I have under 10CBM.
FCL will be definitely more.

I am planning to use Air Cargo. It is cheaper than DHL/FedEx.
It is from Chicago to Chennai. Most shipping companies charge 100pounds or 100kg as minimum + there will be some fixed fee. I do not have a lot of stuff. May be speakers and subwoofer. My total shipping bill will come to 25K.
I can bear 15K or more. Looking to see if anyone needs anything.

I might get the def tech supercube subwoofer. It is 12.5Kg.
or might go full swing and get the massive BIC F12 subwoofer.

Denon 1612 is being clearanced out at a store in US. I know the guy who works there. It is for direct purchase only.

I picked up a demo piece Pioneer VSK-821 for $75+tax myself through the guy. Demo piece did not come with a box, but I am fine with the price.

However since it is a American piece, step down transformer is nessesary.
It will not work with Indian Voltage. I bought a 1000W transformer for 1.6K in Chennai last year. It is a bit of hassle however too many wires. But I am fine. HT store sells the same receiver I have for 29K.

Speakers are passive so can work with any voltage.

1612s have been clearanced out. Out of it most stores.
I saw it at $159. A week later I heard $99, but too late.
Tax is another 10%.

I have kinda overshopped as I did not get any positive response to share shipping cost.
Not sure if I will have room. Will let you know once I get all my packages.
Shipping cost is based on package size (dimensional weight) or actual weight whichever is greater.
