Should I invset in Stylus for Shure V15 Type III & Philips EG1400

Hi
My friend has cartridges : Shure V15 Type III & Philips EG1400. He asked me to help to get stylus for them. On search, I found that Shure is 40 years old model.
so need guidance from FM friends, does it make sense to spend to buy stylus for these cartridges? Do they have any special features?

Shure V15 Type III is an excellent MM cartridge if you have a low mass arm like a SME 3009/3012. I am currently using this set up on a Thorens TD 125. I am very happy with the cartridge. The model number of the Stylus is VN35E. You can get a JICO VN35E stylus off ebay for $70. If your friend has a bit more budget, he can get a JICO VN35E SAS version for $260 which is the best option available.
