Hello Team,

I am thinking of starting with home automation hobby and wanted recommendation on smart switches, dimmable LED drivers, and any contacts or shops I can visit in Bangalore. The plan is to make my switchboards "smart" that can be controlled through smartphone/Alexa/google home. I already have 5 smart in-board small switches/relays installed, from Sonoff, that are connected to the main switches on the board - controlling those through Alexa.

I have few LED profile lights (ceiling) which are way too bright and will benefit from dimmable drivers. I have looked around on internet, but could not find any online sellers with the same. The offerings from Tinxy, Sonoff, Homemate do not include any LED dimmers. The ability to dim light (LED strip light) would provide the appropriate lighting conditions (mood-lighting) as well.

Please let me know if you have any recommendations.

TIA.

You could try this

or any good lighting shop will be able to get you a controller to dim the strip light. I currently use a Bluetooth Based controller and looking to shift to a WiFi controller to use with Home Assistant.

Instead of (often expensive) branded smart gadgets, you can explore ESP12 boards. A few lines of arduino code and a relay board (avl for pretty cheap) are all that you need to automate.

Manually dimmable regulators are available for LED strip. Cant say if this feature is there in any smart switch.

Hi, Are you able to find a solution? I too, recently installed Wipro 260/m strips with wipro controllers but they are way too bright for TV watching. My electricians recommendation is to downgrade to 120/m but that involves a lot more manual work, cost and loosing the good look. It would be easier to switch the controller to dimmable but the electician is telling me that it does not exist and even if we put a dimmer like a fan regulator it is going to damage both the controller and the LED strips. Let me know how you moved forward. I am in Bangalore as well (560075)!
