Bought 2 of these for my rooms couple of days back and i am very happy with my decision. 54k per piece with 1+1 warranty and 2 jio-fi 4g devices with free 7 months data on offer.

It wasn't even in my consideration as i thought these cheaper models won't be worth it. I wanted x90e as minimum. But when i went to sony center and saw the same demo being played it looked much better, brighter, sharper, colorful than even the costlier 4k models (x70e, x75e, x82e). Only x90 and above looked better. W772E stood out when i went to Lotus electronics and it was displayed among lg and samsung models. Ofcourse 4k models might look better with 4k content but the lack of it makes no sense. Even with my 50mbps connection it will eat through my data quickly.

With 10-bit, wide color gamut, hdr at 1080p simply makes it the best 1080p model right now.

I can confirm HDR does work as netflix shows with HDR will display HDR in description if the TV supports it. You probably will need the 4-screen netflix plan for it.

Tried to take pics at diff resolutions of this video. These don't do justice though as its way better in real.

Although it doesn't have android tv and chromecast, it has netflix and youtube app and more on opera store. No amazon prime though. You can cast from apps on your phone to tv just like chromecast and can even cast phone via screen mirroring.

Edit: Imgur has compressed the files little bit. All the above pics here: http://cubeupload.com/codes/94c537

In the link it mentions we755 but your tv model is w772e so there could be a difference.
But anyways for full HD models i dont think Sony would use 10 bit panels.
The website you linked is only showing European models i guess.

7002 looked much better even on same Bahubali Clip. It does upscale well.

772e looked brighter but then who gonna keep it in store mode.

I was confused and thus visited store and decided 7002 is the way to go.

Only concern is does 7002 got a 10 bit panel or not. Or if panel is same in 772 and 7002

w772e has triluminous display but neither x7002e or x7500e have it. Its available from x8200e upwards for 4k models. Also w772e is 1080p and x7002e upwards are 4k models so again panels can't be same. I can guarantee you unless you play 4k content all the time w772e will be better than both those tvs. SD upscaled to 1080p is decent but to 4k is bad.

Well, TV has been delivered.

Sad news is you are right. I saw 2 clips on pen drive on both 7002 and 772E and decided that 7002 e better.

At home, its disappointing to see 7002e perform.

Not sure if 7002 is matte and 772 isnt.

Contrast are just poor. Read online 772 got better contrast.

Read online that both got 1000:1 CR.

Why in world in reliance store : 7002 looked so much better. Pen drive had just 1080p content.

:-(

Having seen 4K on Netflix - This is where it prevails.

Panel is dull though. Why no clue.

lesson - Spend time in showroom to see more scenarios. 2 clips cannot decide TV

Dull is the correct word. That is what i felt when i saw x70e, x75e, x82e. It could be as they are higher models the settings were set so they look better than the cheaper w772e. Luckily for me both the sony centers and 1 lotus electronics showed same demo/video and had default settings for all the tvs. W772e stood out easily among those sony tvs as well as among samsung and lgs in the same range.

Now I can do very little. What crap man. XXK wasted.

Seems 772e is non matte, while 70e.

What can I do now . Picture looking pixelated on 1080i STB.

I wanted to buy 772 only. Wife suggested 70e.

70e looked sharper, while 772 had pixelation ...Now its other way round at home.

IS 772E GLASS OR MATTE?

WHY CONTRAST RATIO SO PATHETHIC IN 70e??

W772E offers better color and more colors because of the Triluminous engine.
So it competes with some of the high end models not having Triluminous engine.
During my store hopping I found it just excelled well over some of the high end models in the price range of 90k -1 lakhs.
Moreover the 2017 models have better results when you compare to equivalent 2016 models.

Well now getting used to it.

It is awesome in HDR mode. Saw 2 sets together again and it aint bad.

I paid 4000 extra to get a 4K TV. IN fact played clips on both TV and 7002e came out on top again.

Some upscaling is working and moving the content to look sharper.

It is a matte screen and thus slightly dull.

4K vs Triliminious, I would prefer first specially as I am sure next world cup will be 4K broadcast.

Now why change in mind ,,because I compared again.

Both TV got same 1000:1 Contrast Ration.
