hi to all members,can any one tell when this product(DDW8500-7.4 ch Home theatre) will be available in india.RT now this product is available in australia price is 1399 aus dollars,if i try to import what will be the customs duty?

I was looking at that then heard the ddww5500 - theyre heavily coloured. If someones not looking for anything but loud sound then its ok. But not if you want to sit back and enjoy the melody of a song and its small little gentle effects. And yes you will get taxed, and shipping for such a monstrous pack will be phenominal.

I dont mean to discourage you, but I would keep away from sony. Total Power Output (1kHz, 6Ohms, 10%THD) 185W x 7 + 200W x 4 = 2095W is a load of BS. You would be better to get a good 5.1 setup to start with. I have listend to some nice 2000+ W system and the sony cannot hold a candle to them. My $0.02
