Hi All,

I am planning to buy a new LED tv for my living room and my budget is less than Rs:100,000/-. My requirements are
1. Good Sound output with Clarity
2. Best display for 2D & 3D viewing
3. Smart TV with easy usage, app downloads, updates etc..
4. Software & Hardware upgrade if possible in future
5. Durability

I have shortlisted few Tv's from my end mentioned below with the price and i would like to request experts here to take a look and suggest me with the best option. Please feel free to add if i missed any other better Tv in this segment .

SONY KDL-42W900B - 76k in snapdeal (Liked it)
SONY KDL-46W950A - 85k in snapdeal

SAMSUNG 40HU7000 - 79k (No 3D but UHD)
SAMSUNG 46H7000 - 99k in Reliance Digital (Liked it)
SAMSUNG 48H6400 - 86k in snapdeal

I saw SONY KDL-42W900B, SAMSUNG 40HU7000 and SAMSUNG 46H7000 in person in showroom and liked SAMSUNG 46H7000 a lot but wanted to compare it against SONY KDL-42W900B or SONY KDL-46W950A picture quality, is Triluminos display really better than SAMSUNG 46H7000 tv's display? SAMSUNG 46H7000 tv has 800 Motion rate and looks better display in showroom than sony.
Also wanted to check if SAMSUNG 40HU7000 UHD a better option than SAMSUNG 46H7000 at the cost of 3D?

This , but not with snap deal. Try with Croma or other retailers, price bit might be higher compared to snapdeal.But when you invest close to 1k its better be safe.

I have purchased this Sony W900B(2 3D glasses) +Blueray Player couple of days before Diwali and got it installed a day before Diwali. I think I got the best possible price from Bajaj Electronics, Madinaguda, Hyderabad.

Guess the price: it is 68,000.00 and I paid 2000.00 through credit card and rest as loan from bajaj(9 EMIs)

Bravias very good for gaming due to very less lag ( Display Lag+Input Lag).
Considering all light conditions, I will prefer 900A because in low light condition, the blacks are better in it. During Gaming, you will be sitting in front of the TV and hence you don't need to worry about viewing angles. If 900a is not available, then 900B will also do.

May will not even know the difference in picture quality of 900A because they will be comparing the PQ in a shop where the lighting is bright.

Dim the lights and then you will see the blacks turn grey in 900B


Plasmas do fare better with low quality video input, where as the LED/LCDs are more of a direct reflection of the quality of the video input.

Ok now here is the thing. I have to make a quick but correct decision. After having seen many reviews on the Sony kdlw950b and w800b, it seems that the 800b has better picture and blacks. 3d is better in the w950b, but I don't care about that.

I believe the 900b is almost the same in terms of specs like the w950b. So my main and very urgent question is, now that I have already ordered the w900b, should I instead go for the w800b model? I will be using ps4 and using my pc on it. I have seen both w900b and w800b in bright environment and dark room. I honestly don't find any major difference in their blacks but viewing angles and color are definitely better in the 900b since it's an IPS panel like what most of you say.

On the other hand, there are some very positive reviews on the w800b on the web that praise a lot about its excellent 2d picture quality.
I have played with the brightness, backlight and contrast on both but still it was hard to find any major difference between the two.

Now please help me decide whether I should stick with the w900b or return it and get the w800b? Please give me your opinion guys. Unfortunately, there is not a single review on the net for the w900b series and nor can I find any equivalent international model, which is making it very hard for me to decide what exactly I should spend my hard earned money on. I request you all to please help me make the right choice.

W900B and 9W50B are same if am right. check for the international reviews of 950b.

W800B get nice reviews because it too has VA panel which has better contrast ratio when compared to IPS panels in 900B.

If you don't find any difference, then choose then one which you and your wallet likes better.

I have already done billing for the w900b but I still have time for today to decide what exactly I should go for. The triluminous display on the w900b looks fantastic no doubt but if it's going to perform just like the w950b, then what good all this technology is.

I have read only good things about the w800b/829b that it performs even better than its flagship model like w950b.

And is it confirmed that the w900b has IPS panel and not VA?
Some times inexperienced eyes are not best to decide what a nice or bad picture a TV is producing and that's the reason I watch and read reviews. So please tell me what to do guys.

Still waiting for some comments. I am super confused. Should I opt for better viewing angles and color over better blacks? And because there is no review on the w900b, I don't know what to do. Just because it's an IPS panel, are we to assume that the w900b has less contrast and weaker blacks?
Triluminos display looks really good and side by side the colors on the w900b look superb compared to w800b/w829b.

I think now that there is a great deal being offered on 50W900B - it should come back in the reckoning. I got mine at 81k with the BD player.

I have a Sony w900B led TV

Software of TV is upto date, my internet speed is above 2 mbps

But application of Smart TV like, - Auto Video Review, Arrival TV, Beyond Relity, Accuwather, Big Flix, Boombrick, Commedy Time and other approx. 200 application is not working.

When I open application, Not found massage appear in SONY TV screen.

You tube and Netflix is working properly.

How can I solve this problem

Please help me ..
