I have Altec Lansing 5.1 speakers bought for my computer about 6 years back. They are still in very good condition so I am not planning to buy another 5.1 speakers anymore.
Now I have recently bought a WD TV Live media player. This player has HDMI, SPDIF, COMPONENT, and COMPOSITE outputs.
I can connect the HDMI cable to my LCD TV and watch HD Videos now.
But I also want to enjoy the 5.1 audio with my existing Altec Lansing 5.1 speaker. So I am searching for an adapter/converter to which I can connce my PC speaker's make jacks (3) on one end and the adapter/converter other end is conected to SPDIF Optical out of my media player.
Please advise if any such is available or can be ordered online and most comfortably if available in Pune itself where I currently live.
